Our Facilities

The building is designed as an open, clearly structured exhibition space with the atrium serving as a central focal point, from which the exhibition levels are accessible via short walkways and an elevator.

All areas of the museum are accessible to people with disabilities. Our on-site team is happy to assist with any individual requests or needs.

The Atrium combines the permanent display of one of Europe’s most prestigious private collections with architectural splendor. Tea Room

Located directly in front of the museum, the Sculpture Garden offers an unexpected oasis of tranquility in the heart of bustling downtown Vienna. Are you planning an event at the Heidi Horten Collection? Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about hiring our venues.

Depending on the event and date, we will consider individual options.

The museum is open to the public daily except Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Thursdays until 9 p.m. The Tea Room and the Sculpture Garden may also be rented during museum hours, subject to availability. The Atrium is frequented by visitors during opening hours and can therefore only be rented for exclusive events outside of opening hours. We’re happy to tailor the setup and takedown times to the specific needs of your event in coordination with museum operations. Additional setup and takedown times are calculated based on the scope of the event.

The museum is divided into three levels connected by floating staircases, with a total of approximately 1,500 m² of exhibition space.

The 380 m² atrium can accommodate up to 150 people (standing) or 100 people (seated).

The 48 m² Tea Room can accommodate up to 30 people.

The sculpture garden, with an area of 400 m², can accommodate up to 100 people.

The standard rental rate for the Atrium is €7,000 and applies from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the latest. On the day the venue is closed (Tuesday), a surcharge of €800 per hour will be charged. 

The Tea Room can be rented for €1,500 for a period of 2 hours. On the day the venue is closed (Tuesday), a surcharge of €800 per hour will be applied.

The rental fee for the Sculpture Garden depends on the number of guests, the event date, and the event times.

Venue rental fees include all costs for staff (security, supervision, coat check, cleaning) and furnishings, as well as technical equipment, if available. Not included are technical support, additional technical equipment and furnishings, and catering.

The Heidi Horten Collection successfully collaborates with preferred partners (Marco Simonis or Cin Cin Catering). However, we give our clients the freedom to hire a different catering company. In this case, a handling fee of 10% of the room rental fee will apply. We’d be happy to discuss any individual requests with you.

If you would like to visit the special exhibition as part of your event, you are welcome to do so for €13.– per person.

We are happy to arrange exclusive guided tours, with a maximum of 20 people per group, or to provide art educators who will be stationed throughout the premises as information points.

The cost per art educator per hour is €160.

The museum has 80 white chairs, 80 museum stools, 20 bar tables, 2 mobile bar units, 1 DJ booth, and 1 stage measuring 2 x 4 meters available.

We can provide the following technical equipment, subject to availability: sound system (indoor and outdoor), DJ mixing console, projector and screen, 2 handheld microphones, and 1 headset.
