The photo shows part of the “Klimt⇄Warhol” exhibition in the Heidi Horten Collection museum in Vienna.

On the left you can see a wall with round windows that look like portholes.
This wall was designed by the artist Markus Schinwald.

In the middle, directly in front of us, hangs a painting by Gustav Klimt.
It shows the Attersee, a lake in Austria.
The picture shows water, houses and nature in bright colors.

Markus Schinwald also designed the decorations on the walls and the painted pieces of furniture next to and under the works of art.

At the back of the wall, above a picture, the word “Forever” is illuminated in large white letters.
This illuminated lettering is a work of art by Tim Noble & Sue Webster.
Below it hangs a self-portrait by Edvard Munch.

On the far right, another wall juts diagonally into the room.
Two paintings by Emil Nolde, which are also part of the collection, hang there.
Abstract architectural design featuring a curved staircase against angular walls and large windows.
Colorful artwork featuring flowers with text "HEIDI HORTEN COLLECTION KLIMT ↔ WARHOL AB 6.9.2024" on an orange background.

You can see a wall with several paintings. On the left are two surrealist paintings by René Magritte.
Below the paintings in the middle is an ornament in the shape of a grand piano. The decorations on the walls and the painted pieces of furniture were designed by the artist Markus Schinwald.

A large, red work of art by Hans Kupelwieser hangs from the ceiling.
It looks like crumpled paper or shiny fabric, but
is made of aluminum.

There are lots of round windows on the back wall - they look like portholes.
Behind them are small, precious objects from Heidi Horten's collection.

This showcase wall was designed by Markus Schinwald.
The pink seating in the middle of the room is also part of his concept.
They invite you to sit down, look and relax.

The walls are covered with large fabric pictures,
reminiscent of an old café or castle room.
Geometric staircase design with angular lines and contrasting materials, illuminated by soft, diffused lighting.
Heidi Horten Collection title "LIGHT SOUND SENSES" on a purple background, with event dates 20.9.2024 – 23.3.2025.
