Beginning November 24, we present a selection of iconic works inspired by the 2018 exhibition WOW! at Vienna's Leopold Museum, titled WE ❤. The three major themes are Expressionism, art of the 1960s and 1970s, and painting and sculpture that explore the tension between figure and abstraction.
The cabinet presentation Focus shows Gustav Klimt's masterpiece "Kirche in Unterach am Attersee" from 1915/16, complemented by graphic works from Vienna around 1900 and contemporary positions, linked by Klimt's characteristic square. The public is also invited to vote for their favorite works and thus actively help shape the museum's permanent exhibition.
